Can you provide me with a written confirmation?

Yes. All bookings are confirmed in writing to you. Bookings are confirmed when you return the signed contract along with the non-refundable booking fee (usually 25% of the total amount).

Can I give you a list of songs I want you to play?

Sure. I welcome and encourage song requests, both from yourself and your guests on the night. As part of the written confirmation, I include a form for you to enter songs you would like to hear, and there's even a space for specific song requests that you don't want to hear.

What do you wear?

This depends entirely on you and your event. For most functions I wear a suit & tie (black or other colour). If you would rather I dressed down a little, then that is perfectly possible too. You can see an example of what I am wearing on the about me page.

I'm having a band at my Wedding/Party, is this OK?

Yes, I'm happy to work with other entertainers, whether you've booked a string quartet, magician or band. Just let me know when booking, and if possible some contact details, so that I can get in touch to help co-ordinate things prior to your event. I've worked with other entertainers before, including pianists, choirs and other DJ's.

How much do you cost?

You can view a list of typical prices, based on your event being booking at a nearby venue. To obtain an accurate quote for your event where you are, for example if you're wanting background music during your wedding breakfast, require uplighting of your chosen function room for the day, then these do cost extra. Do you have PLI / PAT?

Yes. I have Public Liabilty Insurance to £10m, and all equipment is regularly serviced and PAT (Portable Appliance Test). I am more than happy to send you copies of these. I can even send copies direct to the venue if required.

Do you provide Karaoke?

Unfortunately I do not offer Karaoke at this time, I prefer to concentrate on providing you with a quality professional DJ & Disco service.

What equipment do you have?

Can you provide a fog machine?

A fog machine is available, however written permission would be required from the venue before it is used. Some detectors in venues can be sensitive to the tiniest amount of smoke particles, and I wouldn't want to set the alarm off half way through your event, forcing everyone outside and a huge inconvenince to your guests, the venue staff, etc.

Can I come to one of your functions to watch/see you perform?

Unfortunately this isn't possible as most functions are private parties. I do from time to time do public events, and these usually get published on the facebook page. Note that public events can be quite different to parties. Often these are in the daytime, and so both the style of performance and set-up will vary.
